Common questions about our fresh Indian fruits export services.
-
What fresh fruits does Aethon Overseas export from India? We export 19 fresh fruit varieties: Apple, Banana, Mango (Alphonso, Kesar, Dashehari, Langra), Orange (Nagpur/Kinnow), Pineapple, Pomegranate (Bhagwa, Ganesh), Dragon Fruit, Strawberry, Grapes (Thompson Seedless, Sharad), Guava, Litchi (Shahi), Papaya, Sapota/Chikoo, Jackfruit, Watermelon, Pears, Coconut, Ber, and Amla.
-
What is the season for Alphonso mango export? The Alphonso mango export season runs from April to mid-July. Ratnagiri and Devgad Alphonso mangoes from Maharashtra are the premium GI-tagged varieties — available from late March (early season) through June. Kesar mango from Gujarat is available April to July. We recommend placing orders 2–3 months ahead of season as export slots fill quickly for premium varieties.
-
How are fresh fruits shipped — air or sea freight? Both are available depending on the fruit and destination. Mangoes, strawberries, litchi, and dragon fruit are typically shipped by air freight (3–7 days) to preserve freshness. Pomegranate, apple, grapes, citrus, and pineapple can be shipped by sea freight in refrigerated (reefer) containers (15–35 days). We advise on the best shipping mode per product.
-
What documents do I need to import fresh fruits from India?Required documents typically include: Phytosanitary Certificate (issued by Plant Quarantine, India), Certificate of Origin, Commercial Invoice and Packing List, Bill of Lading (sea) or Airway Bill (air), and Fumigation Certificate. Some countries require specific import permits — our team handles all documentation for your destination.
-
Do you supply to supermarket chains?Yes. We supply fresh fruits directly to supermarket chains, wholesale distributors, and importers. We offer retail-ready export-grade packaging — branded cartons, clamshells, trays — with your store's specifications. Minimum quantities and specifications are discussed per buyer requirement.
