What are the common quality grades for dried apricots?
Our dried apricots are graded into Jumbo, Extra Choice, and Choice categories. We also differentiate between 'Sulphured' apricots (which maintain a bright orange color) and 'Natural' sun-dried apricots (which are darker and have a more intense, earthy flavor).
Premium apricots are sourced from the high-altitude regions of Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. These regions are famous for producing the 'Halman' and 'Raktsey Karpo' varieties, known for their extreme sweetness and high nutrient density.
For bulk exports, we use 5kg to 12.5kg food-grade polyethylene liners inside reinforced corrugated double-walled cartons. This ensures moisture control and prevents physical damage during air or sea freight.
Dried apricots are a key ingredient in premium trail mixes, energy bars, and breakfast muesli. In the culinary industry, they are used for making fruit purees, jams, and as a natural sweetener in Middle Eastern stews.
